On assuming the charge of Chairman MANSAS, Sri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, has taken initiatives to guide MANSAS Educational Institutions to reinvent and also adopt to contemporary educational landscape. As a part of this, he is guiding the educational institutions for higher performance and attainments. The following some of the policies: 

Employee Welfare (2017 – gratuity, etc)

Through a pioneering initiative introduced employee gratuity scheme to the staff of MANSAS Institutions in the year 2017 to help provide financial security to employees’ post-retirement also extending health and life insurance benefits ever since as a policy.

  • True to the spirit of education as an instrument for individual empowerment and nation building guiding the institutions under MANSAS.

Substantive Financial Support to Educational Institutions

In fulfilment of the objects of the trust for rendering quality education apportioning trust funds substantively in help creating and maintaining educational infrastructure in terms of laboratories, computing facilities, ICT tools and other amenities.  

In continuation to the provision of free boarding facility through Simhachalam Chowltry perpetuated by his beloved father – Chairman Sri Ashok Gajapathi Raju, taken initiatives leading to the beneficiaries of the gesture getting almost double in number from preexisting 250 strength in the year 2016 to the present about 450 from the needy sections of the society pursuing education in MANSAS educational Institutions

Restructuring of Inst & Programs (NEP, focussed areas of learnings, etc)

Taking into cognizance the spirit of National education policy (NEP) currently reviewing all the educational institutions and programs being offered to facilitate right synergies and accordingly undertaking initiatives for compatibility by restructuring the programs and also the institutions. some of the policy initiatives in this context are:

  • Introduction of four-year integrated education programs (effective from 2025- 26) at MR College (Autonomous) in place of Education Program hereto offered i.e., 2023.
  • For seamlessly integrating UG and PG Programs in tune with the demand and in place of postgraduate programs being offered in isolation from UG. As the same would not foster a promotive and a seamless educational ecosystem.
  • Proposing to establish Law school with contemporary educational technologies integrated and a campus with contemporary and compatible Law education infrastructure.  This Law school is expected to come into being effective from 2026-27.

Sri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju’s Pioneering Initiatives for a Sustainable Future

 

Under the visionary leadership of Sri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chairman of MANSAS, several initiatives have been undertaken across the institutions, distinguishing them significantly from many contemporary commercial educational establishments. These initiatives focus on creating an eco-friendly, sustainable, and harmonious environment for both learning and teaching communities.  Some of his key contributions include:

  1. Water harvesting, green trees,
  2. Sustainable energy, solar power/bio-gas, etc
  3. De-wats (De-centralized waste water treatment)
  4. Sustainable soil & water management

Through these initiatives, Sri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju has not only redefined the concept of modern educational institutions but has also established a model for eco-consciousness that others can emulate. His efforts continue to inspire all stakeholders.

Scholarship Initiative – 15 Lakh Rupees Every Year

As part of the centenary celebrations of Dr. P.V.G. Raju, the Telugu book ‘Spurthi Pradhatha – Vizianagaram Maharaja’ was released on 26th August 2024. This momentous occasion celebrated the legacy of Dr. P.V.G. Raju, a visionary leader renowned for his contributions to public service, education, and social development.

On this occasion, Sri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chairman of the MANSAS Trust, announced a scholarship fund of ₹15 lakhs to support meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing education in government schools across Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and Visakhapatnam districts.

The scholarship initiative was announced in commemoration of

  1. Sri. Alak Narayan Gajapathi Raju Birth Anniversary (26th August)
  2. Dr. P.V.G. Raju Birth Anniversary (Date: 1st May)
  3. Dr. P. Anand Gajapathi Raju Birth Anniversary (Date: 17th July)

To promote academic excellence, an annual scholarship of ₹5 lakhs awarded on each of the aforementioned commemorative occasions to recognize and reward meritorious students from government schools in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari that have spread of Dr. P. V. G. Raju’s Endeavours.
