About Mansas institutions since 1857 - 2004.

On the 3rd March of 1857, Maharaja Vizayarama Gajapati(1826-1879) founded a middle school for the spread of modern education in his principality.

The Maharaja`s Collage celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 1939. Sri V.V. Giri, the then President of Indian inaugurated its Centenary Celebrations in 1971. Lord Wenlock, the then Governor if Madres, opened the eastern wing of the main block in 1894. It acquired the status of an Autonomous institution one of the six such in the Andhra University area, from the academic rear 1987-88.

M.R Collage of Education was established in 1950 offering B.Ed, M.Ed, and Doctoral programmes in education. The Round Mahal-the one palace of princess, houses this premier.

M.R.College for Women started functioning from 27th July, 1962 in the Moti Mahal - jewel of a building in the fort.

The M.RV.G. Post-Graduate Centro was established in 1987 with MA (History), M.A. (Economical, M.Com., later M.Sc., (Mathematics), M.B.A.Course was started. Both this and the Law College, started in 1986-87 also named after the Raja Saheb.

The MANSAS Industrial Training Centre was established in the academic year 1977.78 in the M.R.High School campus. In the year 1981, this institution was shifted to the Hastabal campus. As the result of its trifurcation in 1974, two new schools came into existence, namely M.R.Girls High School and M.RModel School.

Padmanabham (Visakhapatnam district), a place of religie-historical significance, received an impetus in the field of education also with the location of the Maharaja Vijayarama Gajapathi Raju II Memorial Junior College at that place in July, 1994, on the eve of the 200th year anniversary of the Battle of Padmanabham wherein Maharaja Vijayarama Raju II of the royal house of the Pusapatis laid down his life in the cause of freedom.

The royal house of the Pusapatis earned undiminished fame for itself in the Republic of Letters and virtually turned their capital city of Vizianagarnm into a Vidyalanagaram. Sri P.V.G. Raja, Raja Saheb of Vizianagaram. personified that tradition in the institution of MANSAS.
